Kherington is UNO
I didn't have much time to even breath after Vegas before I had to unpack, vacuum the car and get ready for some birthday fun! My little sisters Davi and Dakota drove down on Tuesday to spend a few days with us and celebrate Kherington and Dakota's birthdays!
This girl got the most excited about her cards!! I love it! Easy to please!
I wasn't planning on making a smash cake but Judd told me that was the only thing he requested for the party.. so on Wednesday morning I whipped one up.
Birthday girl!!!
Aunties are the best!! She just didn't like them holding her..... crazy girl
We had one of our couple friends over, they have a daughter just 3 months older than Kherington and made it a party! Pizza, salad, chips, layered jello, and cake... lets just say alot of food was thrown away!
Timid girl kept looking at me to see if it was okay for her to touch the cake!
The plan was to have a UNO themed party... but after the fondant looked so pastel and baby like we switched plans!
The after math
PRESENTS!!
After opening presents real fast we headed over to the local straw maze! It was dark and all the pictures stink but we had a ton of fun!
Nothing like a 28 week pregnant momma in stripes... yikes
Burying Koda in the corn box
We decided we need one of these in our back yard one day!
Marlee and Kherington! Best Friends!
Bumpy hay ride!
The next day we started Koda's birthday with a big breakfast of french toast and bacon and got all dolled up for a day of shopping
Koda was a great sport in sharing a "used" cake with Kherington!!
11 years old!!! Dakota is by far the most mature, sensible, stylish, fun loving, hilarious, beautiful 11 year old I know! I love her to death and can't believe she will be in Young Womens next year!
Thank you Davi and Koda for all your help making food and celebrating with us!!!
My sweet little girl! Sometimes when I think about it I am sad for her that she will only be my "little" baby for a year... She still seems brand new to me some days and in just 11 weeks she will be a big sister. Kherington is a little fire ball. She is so sweet and so stubborn at the same time. She is a little copy cat and surprises us at what she learns how to do so quickly after watching us. She folds her arms and says "Ahhmmm" during prayers, she tries to snap her fingers, gives the best hugs and kisses to momma and daddy and her dolls, dances to music, gives high fives, her favorite thing to say is "HI!" and she will say it all day long. She also says "BYE-Bye", "Momma" "Dadda" and "PPPPPUUHH" for please. She climbs over everything and everyone but still isnt walking!
We love you Kherington Elise!
Las Vegas Wedding!
Two days ago we returned from our trip to Las Vegas for Judd's little brother (Josiah) and Kylee's wedding! This trip was one we looked forward to and counted down the days til we left. Even Miss K was excited to pack up and go!
We made stops in Ashton and Rexburg to visit family and have a quick lunch/G's Ice Cream with my sister Dalyn. It was so good to see some of our favorite people!
After a couple hours we were off to our final destination for the day. Orem, UT. There we met up with all of Judd's siblings for dinner and crashed for the night.
We drove down to St. George and Judd showed me around and told me awesome stories from his mission.
At the Visitor's Center
St. George Temple
Shortly after this picture Kherington threw up all over both of us. Yes I feel the way I look in these pics :)
We met up with one of Judd's buddies, Jeff Staples. Jeff told me that it was because of Judd that he changed his life and decided to go on a mission himself! I loved hearing stories of adventures they had when Jeff would go on splits with Judd. They look like brothers!!!
This was the first time for me in Southern Utah/Vegas! I couldn't get over the landscape!
Poor Baby!
So leading up to this trip I told myself I was going to make an effort to take a ton of pictures..... As you will soon see, the majority of the time I was caring for a sick baby so that goal was NOT met! Luckly I was able to steal pics from family!
I loved the colors that Kylee picked for her wedding: Navy blue, gray, blush pink and apricot!
I also loved Judd in some suspenders!
While waiting for the wedding party to take pictures Kherington started acting really sick again and threw up on the temple grounds..... ughhh
Of course the only picture I got of her at the reception was a grouchy moment!
After the endowment session Thursday night
The whole crazy Hepworth bunch Friday after sealing
The wedding party
Hepworth family, with James and Lael!
Of course as soon as we left the Vegas area on Saturday morning she was back to her usual self, talking and smiling the whole time. Judd decided he wanted to drive the whole 12 hours in one day and it turned out great, miss K slept for 8+ hours of the trip and giggled the rest!
We were back in time to just relax all Sunday and watch General Conference! Perfect weekend!
Thank you Lyman and Jeanine, Lynnea, Sofia, Elisa and Aubrey, Josiah and Kylee and the amazing Whittle family for all you did to make a beautiful wedding for us to enjoy :) We loved being able to trust family to leave K with so we could go to the temple for the first time in months!
