I decided I should just stick with something simple. All I needed was some gray minky fabric, coral chevron fabric, some pins and my mother-in-law's sewing machine.
My original plan was to stitch this elephant on one of the corners. I guess I lost motivation, got to frustrated and had no clue how to do it. SO it didn't get done. But I am happy to report I can now cross off #86 on my 101 List.
So our little home right now has a living room with wood paneling. To kinda dress it up a little more I've added a few damask elements.
On Saturday since Judd was working I got to work on a pallet wall hanging that I've been dying to make. Judd so kindly tore apart some pallets for me and nailed some together to make a nice sized wall hanging. I used some stencils that I had already from a wedding themed scrapbooking kit. To make this...
Then, while Judd and I were watching the motel for Jeanine and Lyman I patiently drew up and painted some cursive letters.
Painting those letters was probably the most stressful thing I've done in awhile. But it's DONE!!
The next project was a simple and fast one. Just what I like! My in laws had this old black filing cabinet in their garage that had collected some not so attractive features over the years (random Christmas stickers). My hubby so kindly snagged it for me.
Do you see what it used to look like... over there hidden behind the couch :)
Well now it looks like this...
So easy and makes all the difference!
